Oaks..

Well it seems like all we have to blog about these days is oakley. He is quite the character but today while Braxton was working i was thinking about all of the things that Oaks has destroyed. So i wanted to make a list.

 1. Internet Cord.  $25
 2. Another internet cord... which was today. Good thing we have a backup. $25
 3. One of my flip flops. $ 1
 4. Battery charger. $50
 5. Another battery charger. $15- we found a cheap one online.
 6. Our blinds. $ 8 dollars or so.
 7. Phone charger. $ 20
 8. Dad Robertson's phone charger $ 20.. good thing we had 3 at the time.
 9. Oh yea another phone charger. $20. Now we are down to one.
 10. Beach towel $10
 11. Rolls of toilet paper $ 2
 12. Ipod headphone $ 15
 13. My cell phone. Worth $200 but 50 for the replacement. I will just add $50.

Grand Total: $251 dollars

Having your puppy get so excited when he sees us that his hole backside shakes and he just kisses us for hours. Him cuddling with me in the morning when Braxton leaves for work. Oaks knowing that i was hurt when i got in my accident and him never leaving my side and kissing all of my wounds. Him running into whatever room we are at and kissing us and then running back to what he is doing. Him always having to chew his bone next to us and when Brax layes on his stomach to read or something Oaks always sits on his back too.  PRICELSS!!

You know it may sound like we don't watch him very well but we do. He is SO SO sneaky he puts all oh his toys next to things he is not supposed to chew so when he does chew through it we think he is just chewing a bone. But he isnt. I am sure there is more.. but i just can't think of any right now. Now you know how crazy our dog is though.. but we wouldn't have it any other way. He is really is too cute. I sound pathetic...i guess we really do need a kid hah. But we love him and that is that!

Oakley and I hike Rock Canyon

Hey everyone. Hopefully everyone is doing really well. I don't know how many people follow our blog but we are trying to do better about posting things here and letting everyone know how we are doing.

Britta and I are doing good. There is nothing new going on for us right now because all we do is work. Costco is...well, work. Honestly, we can't complain. We get paid very well and we have great benefits. School is starting for me in about a week. I am excited to get back in the swing of things. I have a pretty hard and full semester coming up so hopefully I will be able to get good grades.

Today, after work, I went to the grocery store to pick up some powerade for Ricky. He recently returned from Brazil and he was pretty sick. The doctors said that he had strep throat. He was running a pretty high temp for a couple days. He felt better for a day and I helped him move into his new place... that was the last I heard from him for 3 days. Everyone at work was worried about him because he wasn't calling in sick any more in the mornings. I tried calling him and texting but he didn't respond til this morning. He had us all worried for a bit. I guess his fever came back and he was in his place just lying around. He is better now but I decided to get him some sports drinks to help get his fluids and electrolytes up. After visiting with him for a bit I came on home and sat around with Oakley for a while. I decided to go on a hike up Rock Canyon in Provo so that Oaks and I could get out of the house for a bit. The hike was only a short hour and a half.
This is Oaks and I as we turned around to go back down the trail. Oakley loves to hike, although we haven't gone in a bit and he was a little out of shape. Oakley plays a game with me whenever we are hiking down a trail. He loves to run way up in front of me and hide in the bushes. I can usually find him easily but I act like I can't see him til I am really close to him. Then I act like I am going to jump in the bushes and get him. He will take off running farther down the hill to hide in more bushes. It's our hide and seek game. On our way back down the trail, there were tons of dragonflies everwhere which meant Oakley was having a blast trying to chase them. Oaks and I discovered a really dark cave in a huge rock. As I looked down into the cave, I could distinctly smell the pugnant odor of a skunk.

Here is a picture of the cave. Luckily a skunk didn't come out and spray us. Oaks and I had a really good hike. When we got home, Oakley crashed on our new futon. He was asleep...until he smelt the chicken I was cooking for dinner. Oakley is pretty big now. I think he is about 14 lbs. now... and he shouldn't be growing much more. He is our bud and he is spoiled rotten. I think that its time we had a kid. Well that is it for us now. Here is a pic of Oakley getting a drink from a fountain by the trail.

Birthday boarding ends in an ER bash!

Hey everyone.
It has been a long time for us on here. I just wanted to update everyone on some of our summer adventures that we have had so far. Well this post is dedicated to Britta and her birthday.

Our friend, Ricky, was staying with us for a couple weeks before he went to Brazil. We didn't plan on doing anything big for Britta's birthday. As we sat around thinking about what we could do someone suggested that we go longboarding because Ricky had three or more boards. Britta had never gone before and it had been a while since I had been longboarding. We were all excited to go but Britta wanted to practice a bit before we try to go down Provo canyon. Britta did a really good job as Ricky and I tried to explain to her how best to stand and turn, slow down, and what to do in case she has to eject ( get off the board).

Here she is as she practices on the board. I tried to see if Oakley would stay on the board with me as I went down the street. He didn't like it too much.

Anyways, we packed up and went up to nuns park in provo canyon. We were going to ride down to the bottom of the canyon. Britta was doing a really good job as we went down the hill. We were almost to the bottom when we came to a turn that Britta was going a little too fast. I think that she might of had speed wobbles. She wasn't going to be able to turn the corner and just as she was about to hit a huge rock she bailed and tried to duck and roll. Bad idea. She hit the pavement and bounced back up pretty quick but there was blood on the ground already. The damage: a scraped up elbow and knee and a bad gash on the backside of her head. Ricky rode down to the bottom of the hill to get the car and then we went home. The bleeding from her head had stopped but she wasn't feeling good at all so we went to the ER. As soon as we got in everyone in the Hospital knew immediately that Britta was in a longboarding accident and they knew that it happened in provo canyon. I guess that during the summer, longboarding accidents are the number one cuase of traumatic death in Utah county. Britta ended up with a neck collar, two staples in her head and a tetnis booster shot. Not bad for a 20th birthday party. Here are the after photos.
She will be ok... but I guess next time she should wear a helmet.

Oakley Robertson!

Well after his long waited arrival our puppy is here! He is a miniature beagle and his name is Oakley. We had to drive to Nebraska which was quite the trip! He thought it was only like 9 hours well it ended up being 11. It was just a lot further in Nebraska then we hoped. The drive was not bad at all. Braxton and i didn't get any sleep before we left though but we made it through. Braxton can drive forever so i was lucky! I slept a few hours but mostly stayed awake to keep him awake! The breeders lived in a really small town called Beaver City. The population was 641... including squirrels, birds and the snakes! The people that we got him from were SO nice. We stayed and chatted for about 30 minutes then we turned around and were on our way back to UT! We thought the ride would be HORRIBLE. Most dogs don't like the car so to put him in the car for 11 hours was not going to be fun. BUT he was GREAT! He slept a lot of the time and when he needed to go the bathroom he would let you know. He would cry and start getting really excited to, so we would stop and sure enough he had to go. We would go almost 3 hours between bathroom trips and he did fine. If he wanted to go in his kennel to he would go. He either slept there or on our laps! He is just so cute. When we got home we were SO tired though. We hadn't had good rest for over 48 hours. But of course when we got home all he wanted to do was explore so we got about 4 hours of sleep that night with him wanting to go to the bathroom and stuff. We have only had one poop accident and he has started to pee twice but we caught him before he could even do it! He is still a puppy though. We are trying to litter train him as well so when we aren't home he knows what to do but it is tough. He fights with it a lot so we are trying to work with him. Although to our surprise we left him by himself yesterday for 3 hours and he went pee in his litter box which was really exciting because he is actually learning something! And there were no accidents on the floor! It has been really fun though. Stressful but fun. I guess this is just preparing us to have a baby hah. No i am not announcing anything i am just saying.

Well other then that life is good. Braxton is doing good in school and finals are fast approaching! He will do good though like always. Work is still good. I am still enjoying the food court. My friend Andi is leaving me and going to the front end again.. but i will manage. There are a lot of fun people who work in there! I think i am going to go eat some breakfast! Here are some pictures to of the trip ENJOY! This is a sunset in Nebraska.. blinding but pretty.
At a rest stop somewhere!

He loves his toys.

Parker and Oakley! Oakley was a little to excited though so they didn't get to play much.

Another day.. another dolla.

Hello! There isn't to much going on in the Roberston household these days. Today I ( Britta) got a lot of cleaning done. The people who lived here before us didn't believe in cleaning the window sills it is rather gross. But a ton of bleach and water and now it is cleaned. Braxton helped me between donating and work so that was nice. We are waiting for our taxes to come back so we can pay off some debt and also just get some things that we need. Well i will update more later. Our computer won't keep a charge anymore so we have to go to library now and it sucks and my time is up. Have a great day!

Our house!

I just wanted to post some pictures of our place. We have been living here since September now and we are still putting it together. It is hard when you are broke! But things are really coming together. We love our place. It is a little old and there are some weird things that you don't want to look at.. like the bathroom floor looks SO dirty but really it is just stained. Well the bathroom just looks dirty but we always clean it.. i think it is just old. But we are used to it.. and it does not bother us so much. For how much we pay and where we live it is so nice compared to other places we have been to... and unlike most places we can make it our own and we like that! So here are some pictures...

This is our living room.. we have one blue wall and the rest our brown.. it is cute. And this is our new T.V and our WII.. we have fun. This is our kitchen.. it should be green we just haven't got there yet. We love our table though thanks to Braxton's parents! This is our room.. it will be orange one day i know it! We love our bed spread though. I saw it once at RC Willey and i had to have it. I even searched out the lady that did the decorating so i could get it! It is fun.

Well anyways things are still going good. We just got home from our new favorite married couples house. Andi and Blake are so fun. We are all just alike. It is weird how much our husbands are alike they will be good friends. We were sad the Cardinals lost but it will ok i guess. Well we hope everything is going good for everyone. We love you ALL!

Over ONE YEAR...but whose counting...

Ok..Ok...so it has been over a year for us but I am blogging about it now. We were married December 28, 2007. It has been an amazing year for us. We have lived in a lot of different places and we have been to many different places over the past year. I have really loved this past year. We have grown so much together. As you can see, Britta started out being pretty cruel but.......
......She has grown out of it now. Ha ha. Its crazy to think how we met and how everything just worked out. I love her so much. I am so glad and thankful to be with her forever...forever....forever...forever (sandlot voice). I can't wait for the next year and on.

Explanation

I just wanted to give a quick explanation for the changes in the blog backdrop. I write the blogs and Britta does the backdrop. She enjoys getting my opinion on things but in the end its all up to her. I don't mind though. I love her a lot.
Just posting a photo of us kick'n it old skool.

Ear Wax Attax!!

Hey Hey everyone,
This post is going to be about an experience that Britta and I had back in December or the beginning of January...I can't remember exactly when. Anyways, a year ago or so my friend, Tyler, was telling me about these crazy ear cleaning candles. I think that he told me that he saw them in Brazil while he was on his mission. He was telling me that I could buy them on the Internet for cheap or something like that. Well, I told Britta about it and we decided that it would be way cool if we could get a hold of some. We found out that we didn't need to order them off of the Internet because we could get them from any natural foods store. Lucky for us Provo has like twenty of those kind of stores. Well, we found some ear wax candles at a local store and then we brought them home and went to work....Check out the pictures:
So what happens is you put the end of the candle into your ear. The candle is actually hollow which allows for your earwax to be sucked out of your ear. It "sucks" by lighting the end of the candle. The heat from the candle causes your earwax to melt or liquefy. The flame also creates a vacuum because of the flames use of oxygen. The vacuum then "sucks" the melted earwax up into the candle. You are suppose to let the candle burn until it is about 2" above your ear. It is actually kinda cool although the finished product is quite gross.

WARNING: The following pictures might make you wanna puke! But it is interesting how much earwax a person has in their ears (no matter how often you clean them).Kind of gross eh?! The candles do come with a warning that you shouldn't be around loud noises or have water directly in your ears for at least 24 hrs. I'm guessing that is because the earwax is produced by our bodies as protection against noises and other materials. Overall, I thought that they were really cool. We will definitely be using the ear candles again.

Time for an update.

Well, we haven't written on our blog in a while and we should update everyone on what has been happening since we last posted. A lot has happened so we will probable split up the posts. I guess the first thing to tell ya'll about is that about a week after my "plasma prostitute" blog I went in to donate and guess what happens?? The collecting bowl had a leak and I lost a pint of blood which means that I technically donated blood. That is bad because now I can't donate for two months. It has been weird not going to the plasma center twice a week. We have also missed out on the money too. I am able to return on Feb. 5 so you can bet that I have that day marked on the calendar.

Britta and I are doing really good. Life is just full of work for both of us and school for me. Well, we are going to have to update everyone a little later because it is time for us to go to work.
