I am a Plasma Prostitute and not ashamed of it.

Hey everyone,
I hope that ya'll had a good Thanksgiving Holiday. I have a one hour down time in between classes and I wanted to write about some stuff. I had a classmate the other day who got up before the beginning of class to make an announcement about a blood drive that we are having on campus. The classmate went on to say how it should be our civil duty to donate blood if we are able and yadda yadda blah blah. I am sure that we have all heard it before. Now I agree that we probably should donate blood because our chances of having to one day use someone else is pretty high. And it is good to donate and help out the community. What about us "plasma prostitutes"? Plasma donors can't donate blood because if we do then we have to wait 6 weeks before we can donate plasma again. That's a deficit of $390. That's a lot of money for a poor college kid like me. I would be glad to donate blood if they were paying me as much as I make donating plasma. I have heard some avid blood donors blow steam about how we plasma donors shouldn't be paid for our plasma and how we are sellouts. Well, if donating plasma to help people like hemophiliacs or others with blood protein problems is a "sellout" then count me in. Besides we might as well make a buck if we are giving our blood or plasma. It is ours, right?! Now, I am glad that people donate blood out of the generosity of their heart but I also donate out of the generosity of my heart....the money is just a big bonus. Ha ha. So that is my take on "plasma prostitution". Am I ashamed of doing it for money? Not one bit.
Well, Britta and I are doing really good. I am getting ready for finals that come up in about 2 weeks. Yipee! And then next semester I get to start it all over again. Thats it for now.

Cops and Robbers..

Well hello everyone!
This past week as been rather interesting for us.. but fun. We have been working like CRAZY! Braxton was working 330 to midnight every night up until Thanksgiving and i have just been working the usual but everyone is last minute when it comes to making dinner so it was insane in the store.. luckily we got a break before Black Friday though. It was pretty darn crazy until about 3 then it died. We were there when the store opened hoping they would have WII's but to our disappointment they didn't. So we went to the mall and purchased the best thing the world a WII!! It was the same price at Costco so we just bought it because we know they are hard to find. Bad news is we don't have a T.V though. But we are working on it. Next week we will have our brand new 37 inch LCD Vizio and we are so EXCITED! Merry Christmas to us.
In other news we had the day off on Saturday so we went to Ikea in SLC. It was packed but so fun. We love that place. We went there for a scrub brush because they have cool ones with suction cups. It was a dollar. We drove all the way there for a dollar but its ok. We were also looking for an entertainment center for our T.V we found the one we like now we just have to buy it! After that we went to Cableas to look for a gun. On the way there though we saw a hit and run accident. This Mercedes try ed to switch lanes but didn't see the big white SUV next to them anyways they hit pretty hard and the SUV pulled to the side of the rode and the Mercedes slowed down but then he just took off. So our first reaction is to follow them so we could get there license plate number... well this guy was crazy he was going well over 90 and was swerving in and out of cars. He then decided that the cars weren't going fast enough and he started driving in the middle of the road. and traffic was coming on both sides! We saw which way he turned though and keep on him but he was going way to fast and we couldn't keep up. He did lose his right bumper on the way and we picked it up but we never did find him again. I called the cops though and gave them the story but they said that the other car didn't call it in so they probably couldn't do anything and we also didn't have the license plate number but it was pretty scary. I just hope he didn't steal the car or something.
Other than that life is good. We had a good thanksgiving, thanks to Tyler and his family. It was SO delicious. Braxton is still doing well in school to. Hopefully next time we post there will be pictures of us playing the WII! Have a good week!

For all LDS Members

I found this talk by Elder Maxwell very interesting since it was a talk given at BYU on October 10, 1978 which is 30 years before the problems we now face.

But make no mistake about it, brothers and sisters; in the months and years ahead, events will require of each member that he or she decide whether or not he or she will follow the First Presidency. Members will find it more difficult to halt longer between two opinions (see 1 Kings 18:21).

President Marion G. Romney said, many years ago, that he had "never hesitated to follow the counsel of the Authorities of the Church even though it crossed my social, professional, or political life" (CR, April 1941, p. 123). This is a hard doctrine, but it is a particularly vital doctrine in a society which is becoming more wicked. In short, brothers and sisters, not being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ includes not being ashamed of the prophets of Jesus Christ.

This is for all of those members of the Church that I have heard over the past while who have repeatedly said that the Prophet should not be involved in political issues. The Prophet is the mouth piece of God. All we need to do is follow the Prophet no matter if it goes against our political beliefs. REPENT!! Let us all follow the Prophet courageously.

November 4th and "Adam & Steve" equality.

Hello everyone. We haven't been very good at consistently writing on this blog spot which is too bad. I always have great ideas to write about or experiences to tell people about but I never seem to find the time to actually write. Sorry about that. Just to let everyone know, Britta and I are doing great. We are very busy some days with work at Costco. The holiday season is just starting to pick up which means that we both will be working like crazy for the next couple months. I am also very busy with school. I have 18 credit hours right now but none of my classes are too hard for me. I have A's or B+'s right now in all of them which is nice. I am trying to pull my GPA up before I get into the hard classes (i.e. Organic Chemistry, Molecular Biology, etc.).

So I am writing today because there are some things that I want to get off my chest. It is 6:30 in the morning right now and I have a Stake Priesthood meeting that starts at 7, so that is why I am up so early. As I was getting ready for the meeting this morning, I was thinking about our country and what has happened over just the past week. I don't feel that the election was "historic" because we elected a black man as President. I feel that the more charismatic candidate won. Now, I don't agree with President-elect Obama on lots of issues. I think that his economic plan is the worst I have ever seen. I believe in the right to own a gun. And I don't believe in "spreading the wealth" with those people who live and thrive off of welfare and other government programs. If they want money then they should get a job. "But the economy is horrible right now and there are no jobs to be found" right? WRONG! I see tons of jobs available in the newspapers here in Utah County which, by the way, is home to thousands of high school kids and thousands of college people like myself. Most of us are searching for jobs and yet there are still positions to be filled. Granted, these positions include flipping burgers at the local fast food shop, but a job is a job. "Spreading the wealth" is counterproductive in that it rewards a lot of people who don't work as hard as others and who haven't applied themselves to college and university studies which enable people to gain higher wages. Should we not reward the people who put in the long years of school and hard work to get where they are today? As you can all see, I differ in opinion from that of Mr. Obama but now that he is our soon to be President I do believe that we must all pray for him. It is a hard job to be President of the United States (it is hard to be the President of any nation for that matter) and even if we don't support the President in his ideas we can still pray that he will do what is right for this country and for the people. We are all born with the light of Christ which helps us in choosing good over evil and yes even Mr. Obama has this gift. Let us all pray for him that he will have the courage and strength necessary to uphold the constitution and lead this nation. And I would like to finish this part by saying: may the next election come really quick!!

The election of President is really not what has been bothering me. Whats bothering me is California's proposition 8 and the immediate fallout of the amendment's passage. I really don't even know where to begin with this. So prop. 8 is an amendment to the California constitution that would basically outlaw the marriage of gay and lesbian individuals. The vote was really close and I believe that it passed with only 52% of people. On a ironic note, this election brought thousands of supposedly disenfranchised black voters to the booth and over 70% of black voters in California actually voted to pass prop. 8. Kind of ironic since most of them voted for a far left president. Anyways, the official results were not released until the 5th of November and after they were released the gay and lesbian communities were in an uproar. No longer could they be married to one another. Almost immediately, many filed lawsuits against the amendment in an attempt to overturn the voice of the people. Protests irrupted in LA and San Fransisco and thousands of people were blaming the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the ban on gay marriage.

Why? Well the leaders in the Church have asked all members in California to do whatever they can and donate all that they can to make sure that prop. 8 was passed. Gays and lesbians see this as not having a separation of church and state. Is our Church alone in the efforts? Heck no! Thousands of evangelicals and Catholics were also asked to support prop. 8. So why are we alone in the blame so far? Well, shouldn't we stand alone and accept the blame? Do we not believe that the Church is God's Kingdom here on earth? Do we think that Satan will just leave us alone and not put it into the hearts of men to single us out? The only reasonable answer to me is that it totally makes sense why we, and almost we alone, are accused for restricting marriage to only be between a man and woman. This is Heavenly Father's Church. We must know that we will have to suffer for this and it is a trial that might be hard for some of us to overcome.

Why would the Church want to restrict the rights and equality of any person? I have heard this question asked by too many of my friends and co-workers in and out of the Church. I have seen angry protesters with signs saying that this is a fight for gay and lesbian "rights". This is a matter of "equality". I sometimes can't believe that members in the Church would go against the words of our leaders and vote against this issue.



This is a photo of some protesters in front of the LA Temple. Their sign begs the question, Is this really about "equality"? Why would the Church wish to make people unequal or did they actually do so? In my opinion, I don't think that this is a "equality" issue. I believe that in the name of tolerance and love, Satan is fighting this struggle to ruin the holiness and sanctity of marriage. Are all humans equal? Well, yes and no. We are all spirit children of our God who has created us. We are all made in his image and in his likeness. That is where equality ends. Are we all equal in this life? No. Do we each have equal opportunities in life? NO. Are we all equally good and equally bad? NO! I believe that it is doctrine in our Church that the more we sin and go against God, the more unequal we become with God. God cannot look upon sin with the least degree of acceptance. If we sin, how can we be counted his equal or how can we think that one day we can become like him. We can't. Now all of us sin but that is why we have a Savior. Only when we rely on His merits are we able to hope to be like Him and Heavenly Father. Even after we die we are not all equal with one another. The scriptures teach that some of us will be Priests and Kings in God's Kingdom while others will only be able to be ministering angels. And yet others will differ in glory as the stars differ in glory and brightness. Does this sound equal to anyone? We are not all equal and marriage is not an "equality" subject. Do we as LDS members believe that our temple sealings are equal to the marriages of people outside the Church? I sure don't and I don't think that Heavenly Father sees them as being equal either. We learn from the words of Prophets that marriage is holy and sacred and should only be entered upon by a man and a woman. I don't believe that this leaves any room for gay and lesbian "equality". I have heard some friends that think by voting for prop. 8 we are trying to force our Church's views on others and that this is not right. This is true. We shouldn't force our views on others but we should stick up for what we believe in. Are the gays and lesbians any different from us in that they are trying to force their idea of marriage onto me? Don't tell me that this is a fight for equal rights! I would only tell you how ignorant you are. I don't believe that we should persecute the gay and lesbian community. They are our brothers and sisters but they are wrong. I think that it is time that we as members of the Church show our overwhelming support for our Prophet and leaders by prayerfully accepting their call to protect marriage as God would have it. Just a question for everyone to think about...Do we think that God would allow gay and lesbian marriage in the afterlife (Spirit World and Kingdoms of Glory)? Marriage is not equal!!

What would have happened if the amendment did not pass and same sex marriage was legal? I don't think any of us knows for sure but I think that the demands of "equality" would not have stopped there. Let just say that gay marriage was allowed and prop. 8 was voted down and marriage "equality" was gained. What about polygamist? Why don't they have equality? Why aren't their marriages allowed? Why can't I marry my sister (I love you Rhiannon but definetely not in that way) or any of my close family? Can a gay man be allowed to marry more than just one partner? What kind of sick, twisted and degrading things would have come from this? I know that gays/lesbians and the people aren't asking for this but wouldn't it be a matter of time before stuff like this would be fought for on the basis of "equality". Just 50 years ago or more the population thought that the practice of gays and lesbians was degrading and twisted. Now it is accepted as natural and, to some, beautiful. What will we think 50 years from now? This is just the first step that could plummit our society and nation in to chaos. We keep drawing the line of marriage closer and closer to the edge of a cliff of which we will eventually fall off. I have heard some say that they fear if same sex marriage is allowed that the people will want the right to marry in the temple. I think that this is rather far fetched because the temples are private property and the church has sole say over who can or cannot enter. Then again, you never know what will happen down the road. Another fear is that because the church spoke so openly against same sex marraige, people are threatening to get the church's tax exempt statis revoked. I think that this is more likely to happen then the former fear. I honestly don't know what the back lash will be for our support of prop. 8 but I do know that it isn't going to get better from here. I am sure that we will have another vote and sooner or later same sex marriage will be allowed. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't let our voices be heard.

I guess you could just copy and paste the site to view the articles. I recommend it. Lastly I just want to say "Thank You" to those members who went to the LA Temple and got rid of those dumb signs that protestors were putting onto the wall around the temple. It looked like a lot of the members who showed up to the temple were islanders...I guess know body would really want to mess with a dude who is 250+ lbs. and can crush their skull. Its going to be a heated battle to the end. The only thing that we can do is just stick up for what we know is right and pray for support to get through our trials. I am sure that ya'll can tell that this subject can get my blood boiling. I hope that this gets some of us thinking about where we stand. I welcome comments and disagreements.

WE ARE STILL ALIVE (just to clarify)

To those who think we have fallen off the planet.. we did.. but we are back!! Anyways it has been awhile. So i'm going to recap some highlights of the last month or so.. lets see. September was full of many long nights of doing homework more like watching Braxton do homework and working. We are still at Costco and it is treating us well. The holidays are coming up so Costco will be slammed but we will manage. Braxton is doing very well in school and still maintaining all A's. He is swamped most of the time though. In fact right now he is working on a paper due next week but he is about half done so its looking good.
We moved into our apartment as of September 1st. We love it. It is a 2 bedroom in Provo. It is only about 10 minutes from BYU so that is nice. The best thing about the apartment is we get to paint and make it our own. So we went out and bought all the paint which was a fortune and 3 weeks later we have 1 wall painted and all the cans of paint are sitting on our living room floor! We have been busy hahh. We started out with a table and a lovesac as furniture. But we know have a table with 1 nice chair and 2 broken barstools that we got for free and a book shelve! We have found the couch that we want and we will hopefully be getting it in about a month or so. We have never been in a married student ward so that is something we are trying to get used to but it is tough. We miss being with all the fun old people!
Some more news we got to babysit the cutest dog in the world named Marley early in October. He was adorable, Besides the fact that he peed on the carpet 7 times but i forgave him quickly after he looked at me with those puppy eyes! I took him to the park and ran around for awhile then we slept for a good hour in the shade it was nice. It made us really want a puppy and GOOD NEWS we might be getting one as of tomorrow. We are so excited i hope it all works out. It is a pocket beagle only the cutest dog in the world. Braxton's mom found it for us and it getting it for us for a Christmas/Birthday/Easter/ for the next 10 years gift. It is a very good price. Now we just pray that the landlord ok's it.
Last week we had the chance to go to Braxton's Mission Reunion in SLC. It was a fun but hectic day. We did some shopping in the morning. Bought a chair and bookcase which was nice. Then we headed for Salt Lake. We got there early and went to the Gateway mall. It was fun just walking around it was beautiful outside. Then we went to the Reunion. It is fun to see Braxton get all excited over seeing his old companions. I always have no idea what anyone is talking about but it fun. It is also nice to hear how much his mission President and his wife adore him. I'm so glad i married someone who was so faithful on there mission. I really feel like he gave it his all. Afterwards we stopped at Texas Roadhouse only the best place ever! It was so yummy and we were way to full. We come home and CRASHED!
Well i think that is about it for know. I am looking forward to the next couple of weeks when Kari has her baby! I'm scared that Dan won't be here then i will have to go in and hold her hand. I really need my hand and if i go in i know i wont have it when i get out hah. But we love all of you! We will post some pictures soon!

Bear Lake

Well, we need to catch everyone up on what we have been doing for the last couple of months. We have been really busy with work at Costco. Britta has received a new job at Costco. She now does only the go-backs and she folds clothes. It is a full time job so we are happy for that. I am cutting back hours for when school starts in a couple weeks. That is about it for us right at the moment.
At the end of July Britta and I were able to go to Bear Lake in northern Utah for a day because we finally got the same day off. We had a blast at the lake. We just swam around for a while and then enjoyed a nap on the beach. We started the day off with a trip to the Mt. Timp temple to do some sealings. It was a great day, made even better by the awesome shakes we had. We just wanted to post some pics for everyone to see. Enjoy.

Crater Lake

Hey everyone.. Well, we haven't written in a while but we really haven't had anything to say. We have both been doing really good. We are working a lot at Costco. Braxton had a week were he had 50 hours (cookies were on coupon). Britta's hip is hurting her a bit so she is going to transfer to another department so she doesn't have to go out and push the carts in the parking lot. She is probably going to end up in the food court or in clothing. Work is good and it takes up most of our time. We were able to get about two weeks off so we could relax and have some fun. We haven't gone camping together and Britta has never been farther west than Utah so we decided that a camping trip to the west was the best. We decided to leave the 28th of July after work was over. We left pretty late that night and headed up to I-80 west. Britta fell asleep really quick and I got really tired about the time we got to Winnemuca, Nevada. We decided to pull over and sleep for a bit but we didn't want to just sleep in the car like we usually do. We got ourselves the cheapest motel room that we could find. We got to bed around 4 am and then we were up again at 8 am. We left with half a tank of gas and we thought that we could get all the way to Adel, Oregon before we would have to fill up again. Well, we made it to Adel but come to find out it is a town with a population of only 78 or so. There is only one gas station in the town and just our luck, it was closed. We tried to find the person who ran the station but we couldn't find anyone. Our gas light had just came on when we entered the town so we had three gallons left before we couldn't go anywhere. The next closest station was in Lakeview which just happened to be 33 miles away. We decided to go for it. Every time we were going down hill I would put the car into neutral and coast down the hill. Luckily with a lot of praying we made it to Lakeview and to the gas station before our gas ran out. We made it up to Crater Lake in the afternoon. We had a pretty good camp site and after quickly putting up camp we headed for the lake which was about 13 miles from the camp. The lake is the deepest and clearest lake in America and I think the 7th deepest lake in the world. It was really pretty. We walked around for a bit and took lots of pictures which we will have to put up later. We cooked ourselves some awesome food and then we went to take a quick nap. We ended up taking to long of a nap and when we woke up it was late into the night. We woke up early the next morning and after breakfast we headed up to the trail that led down to the lake. It was about a two mile hike down. We got down there and we played around in the lake for a while. It was extremely cold but it was beautiful. We took our time hiking back up the 2 mile hill to get to our car. We then left and headed to Cave Junction for the Hart Family Reunion. We will blog about that next time. Catching up...

Hello everyone!
So it has been a long long time... the thing is that we have no internet access so we rarely ever even get on the computer and when we do we check our mail and that is it. But today we have time and we are going to write. Well to start off if you didn't know we are back in good ol' Utah. We were in Chicago selling Pest Control but it wasn't working out. It wasn't that bad of a job either. Basically you just have to eat, sleep, and dream pest control. We had a lot of good training though on how to sell and stuff like that and it is very useful. The guys we worked with were just so good at what they do so they were a big help. We probably could have made a good deal of money but who knows. We had to drive about 1 hour to our spots to sell everyday and 1 hour home and in Chicago gas was about $4.15 everywhere so that was no fun. We did take 2 guys with us all the time but they were so broke like us that they couldn't help us out. We got payed in increments so for every sale we made $100 dollars but they break that up into 4 different pay periods so you only make $25 for each sale then $25 a month later then at the end in October and February that is when you see the big money. So we were only selling like 4 a week maybe so you really have nothing to live on until you start selling like crazy and it just wasn't happening. We spent one month there and I (britta) got 11 which was the best for first years and then Braxton had 6. So needless to say no money so we left. The only thing we miss is the way sweet town home that we had. It was so nice and we probably will not live in anything like that for 10 years so it will be missed.
That takes us back to Utah. We came to Utah with 600 dollars and our stuff. Well it took about 300 to get home so it left us with $300 dollars and we weren't even certain we would have a job yet. But when we got back we got our jobs within the week and we were on our way to making money again. We lasted though for 3 weeks with no income.. how? i dont know. All of our money went to gas and food. We have been eating burritos, cup of noodles and cereal for weeks. But we are still alive and managing to do it for another 2 weeks. It will be great to taste real food again.
We are so lucky to be back at Costco again though. We were told that they don't do rehires usually and they brought both of us back without any hesitation. I am on the Front End again and not liking it but i suck it up and do what i'm told. Braxton was rehired back in the produce area for a week and then they transfered him to night merch for a couple weeks. Then out of nowhere they transfered him back into the bakery where he will probably stay for a bit. He hates it in the bakery and would rather be out on the floor but he is getting a lot of hours in so that is nice.
All in all we are doing really good. We are getting really excited for our family reunion that is coming up soon. Adios

Westward ho!!

Well, we are heading back to Utah!! Surprised? So are we. Lets just say that selling pest control just wasn't paying the bills. So we are heading back to Utah this week and we are going to be getting our jobs back at Costco. We will have to update everyone about our month long escapade with pest control. That is all for now.

Chicago here we come..

So another week as passed in the Robertson household. Seems like we do the same ol' things everyday. Work is going alright.. we are ready to get out of there though. . and thursday is our last day so that is nice. Braxton is almost finished with school he only has 1 more exam left. Hopefully he will have straight A's so that is nice. Well here are some highlights of last week and the beginning of this week.

1. Finding out my sister is pregant! YAHOOO..
2. My oldest nephew turning 12 and becoming a young man.
3. End of school! Begining of summer.
4. About to journey to Chicago. ROAD TRIP!
5. Papa Parker turning 56.
6. Eldon baptizing the people of Paraguay
7. Going to the shade $5 dollar sell.. pretty sweet.
8. Buying the J. Golden Kimball stories.
9. Becoming a Platinum member of Desert Book ( so if anyone wants to buy something use our name.. and we will get points)
10.Having date night last thursday consisting of getting so so lost in Sandy, UT going 105 blocks out of the way due to dumb Utah people. Finally finding the aquarium and come to find out it was the dumbest thing ever besides the stingray tank where you can touch them. Then going to the IMAX theater thinking it was a huge dome one and then finding out it was just a big screen. Seeing 21 which wasn't that bad of a movie. Then going to the Mayan Adventures which was a huge rainforest thing with a waterfall inside.. but no dancers and no performers and sucky food. But all in all we had a good time spending time together. We had some good laughs along the way so we made a good time out of it.

So we have been having a pretty good week. We are really excited to be leaving here though we need some time away from Provo. What not to do...

So Britta and I have been quite sick for the last couple of days. I am not sure what exactly it is but when we wake up in the morning our throats are really sore and we cough a lot and Britta's head is always killing her. Anyways that really has nothing to do with the post.... I just wanted to give ya'll an update. So the other day we got home from work and we were getting ready to watch a movie or go to bed or something when Britta starts complaining that her neck was hurting her really bad. She decided that it was my husband duty to message her neck and put icy hot on it to help soothe her. So I of course agreed that it was my duty (Lesson one: Husbands are to always agree with their wife no matter what!!! I repeat...no matter what!!). So I started massaging icy hot into her neck and I guess I must have put too much on because after the icy sensation was gone the "hot" really came in full force. Britta started complaining that her neck was on fire and I of course just sat on the bed and tried to explain that of course it was going to be hot...that is why it is called "icy hot". This answer didn't appease Britta's torment so she grabbed a box of wetnaps that we have next to our bed and she took one out and started slapping the back of her neck with it in an attempt to cool her neck. This is probably something that ya'll would have to see to know how funny it was...so just take my word for it.... It was absolutely hillarious. She kept rubbing her neck and then she would slap herself with the wetnap. Unfortunately my cheerfulness didn't help the situation and I was actually threatened that a large amount of icyhot would end up in my armpits if I didn't stop laughing (Lesson two: Husbands must always do what their wifes ask of them...ALWAYS!!). It was pretty funny. Just another day in the Robertson's household.

something about how i went above and beyond my line of work! So needless to say i rub it in So Braxton and I have been working at Costco for almost 6 months now! Its fun and we get payed well. I started off on the front end and now i work in clothing. Braxton started in the bakery and now does produce (aka so easy). Well we have this comment box at work where customers can right something good about employees and then they get there name on the best of the best board! SO we look at it every now and then to see if our names are on there because we try to help people out as much as we can and its never there. But this one day a man came in hoping to get his favorite pair of Kirkland Jeans (you Costco goers should know what these are) but we were out of his size so i looked in all the boxes to find them but nothing. So i showed him all of our other jeans and we compared them to find the skinniest one because we wanted tampered jeans. Well after about 30 minutes he decided on a pair and was on his way. Now i have done this type of thing quite a few times so i wasn't expecting anything..until yesterday i just happened to glance on the board and there was my name! And a comment that sayedBraxton's face because he is not on the board hah!! I only write about this because no one ever acknowledges me so for once i get a little credit. I feel good!
Other then that things are going good. We are getting ready to go to Chicago soon and we are excited. Hopefully we make a decent amount of money! Its a bug eat bug world out there.. and our mission is to kill them all!

Date Night

Well we just got back from our date night. It consisted of Rocky Mountain Chocolate candy apples!! DELICIOUS! Britta got Apple Pie Apple (cinnamon, sugar and white chocolate) and Braxton got Avalanche (rice crispies, marshmallows, tiger butter, and caramel). Oh and we cant forget the giant rice crispy treat! The Rocky Mountain Chocolate store is located in the Riverwoods shopping area in northern Provo. We decided to take a stroll through the area and check out all of the sweet stores. Unfortunately every store in the area is extremely expensive which means we did a lot of window shopping and wishing. Of course Britta saw a store that sold little kids outfits and we had to go in and check out all of the baby clothes. NO!!! WE ARE NOT PREGNANT!!! And by "we" I mean Britta. MAN, Braxton hates those stores. It gets him so trunky to be a dad. This store had some sweet kids clothes like this:

Oh yeah! Our kid is gonna be stealing all of the girls hearts with this sweet style. Of course it costs an arm and a leg but if any of you are willing to sacrifice then please let us know.
After our leisurely stroll we decided to catch a movie at the local theater. We try to keep date nights "G" rated so we decided to watch the Dr. Seuss classic Horton hears a Who. Britta went in to the movie having never read this book (I don't know how anyone can make it through child hood sane and never read this book). We love Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell as the voices and the movie was pretty good. We must admit Dr. Seuss was one weird man... A literary genius but extremely weird. It is a great family film and we recommend it.
It was a good night for us...any night that we don't have to go to work is a good night. Well we are home now and it's time to.................

UNTITLED (that's the title)

Well I guess we better get better at doing this blog thing. I started the blog over a month ago and I only have a couple posts so far. My aunt was over the other day and she showed me the ropes of blogging so now I am a blogging pro! I have lots of ideas for this site but I find my time occupied with school work and napping!! I decided to change my site address and also include my wife in the site so now it is our site. We have been married for three months now and it is probably the best three of my life. It is pretty awesome being married....(not meant to make my single friends depressed in any way)...but you still have ups and downs...well actually like little downs and huge ups!! Well my biology class is about to start so I better get studying for my daily quiz.

What the heck....

So I decided to start blogging. I had seen some of my friends blog spots and I decided that I wanted to start my own...no crime in that right? I am guessing that "blogging" is almost like writing in your journal (which is a commandment of sorts) so I decided to kill two birds with one stone....or maybe its just one bird...and I kill it with a "blog"...? Anyways, I don't really know much about this stuff but I think that it will be fun. I guess that I am also a little tired of myspace and facebook as so many of us "bloggers" are. In fact those websites are almost entirely useless now that I am married...I mean who would want to be friends with a married guy unless you are a guy. No one talks to me anymore on those sites except for old mission buds so I decided that the blog is the place for me. Who knows, maybe if you're lucky I will write a lot on this blog spot. One quick question before I go...who the heck invented the "blog" and why did they give it such a ridiculous name?? Just one of the many mysteries that we may never know.
